Director-writer Tarun Dudeja and co-writer Parijat Joshi kickstart the story regularly, acquainting the audience with its protagonists. Sky (Fatima Sana Sheikh) is a motorcycle reviewer and an influential figure attempting to break her unknown and condemnable social media image and establish her own identity by venturing into a male-dominated fortress. Manpreet, also known as Mahi (Ratna Pathak Shah), is a grandmother, and Uzma (Dia Mirza) is a homemaker, unappreciated by her family. Manjari, a girl from Mathura, is about to marry a stranger chosen by her mother. The rest of the story revolves around their experiences, challenges, and intersections with each other as they embark on a transformative journey.

Despite being well described, the film’s first part can sometimes become sharp as it displays prejudice towards women drivers or riders, the lack of safety for women, and how they are taken lightly. However, when they hit the road, the story takes a turn and amps up the excitement. Cinematographer Srichith Vijayan Damodar has effectively captured the mountains, be it on serene roads for a casual ride or through dramatic terrains, landslides, floods, etc.

Like a true-blue journey, the film paints those characters that teach life’s lessons through memorable dialogues in a simple way. Manjari encourages Manjiri to see problems impartially and says, ‘To stress about your problems and provide solutions for others’ problems is human nature. Try being a neighbor to yourself for once.’

Just like in real-life travels when you know your destination but can’t predict what will happen during the journey, the story takes fresh turns in the events. Mahi and Manjari’s mischief injects humor into the film. Rishi Dutta’s soundtrack is invigorating, especially the folk-rock title track ‘Banjara Re.’

Ratna Pathak Shah shines as a lovable, naive, and vivacious Punjabi grandmother, Fatima Sana Sheikh excels as an assertive girl who deals with her demons, Dia Mirza is outstanding as a resourceful mechanic with dreams, and Sanjana Sanghi is excellent as a cunning and overly protected ordinary girl. Roles.

The captivating tale of four people riding the storm will excite anyone looking for an adventurous journey, whether on the road or at heart. The story should be watched for its storytelling and visual appeal, and it could be best enjoyed on the big screen for a theatrical dramatic experience.”
